1.    Can we start with some background about Turkel?

Turkel Fair Organization is Turkish trade fair organizing company with experience in the Field of trade fairs organization since 1993. Turkel Fair Organization Inc. has been organizing trade fairs on a wide spectrum in more than 30 countries of the World across 4 continents until today such as in Russian Federation, Ukraine, Belarus, Baltic Republics, Poland, Germany, Italy, Greece, Hungary, Denmark, Spain, Portugal, Latvia, Romania, Tunisia, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Kenya, Ghana, Sudan, Syria, Nigeria, Venezuela, Canada, Republic of South Africa, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Qatar and Kuwait. Turkel Fair Organization is organizing trade fairs with license which is authorized by Turkish Ministry of Economy (
Turkel has obtained ISO 9001:2000 UKAS QUALITY MANAGEMENT Certifications, approved by British original; Global Certification Ltd. Turkel has been approved to be a member of UFI (Union of International Fairs) in the year of 2005.
Turkel Fair Organization, the leading company in the organization sector, has been holding the trade fairs in leather and fur, garment, jean and sportswear, home textile and furniture and also building, construction, electrics, lighting, industrial products, machinery and automotive sectors.
The company Turkel, having experience and knowledge in many years, opens to improvements as well as innovations with a qualified team of 76 professionals employed in Istanbul Head Office, Moscow and Almaty Offices. Turkel Fair Organization has been giving services in tourism, forwarding and customs clearance to his clients.
 We as Turkel Fair Organization, our vision is to be the leader company to give the service in the best quality to our clients based on customer’s needs at our organizations in the international fair sector.

2.    What products offered by Turkish exhibitors are you most excited about at the moment?

We mostly have our exhibitors from Home textile;  kitchen &home appliances sectors eager& have potentials to develop trade relations in Nigerian Market.

The Ties between Turkey- Nigeria traces back to history & we always maintained good relations. We both are members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Developing Eight (D-8) and maintain close cooperation also economically. We are happy to participate this fair and aim to develop further&contribute  our Trade relations.

4.    What particular interests do Turkish exhibitors have in the Nigerian Retail sector? Are they involved with particular Nigerian retailers?

Turkish exhibitors attending our show are capable& keen to develop further trade relations with Nigeria & they look forward to meet the retailers  there to export their products to Nigerian market.

5.    What is your vision for this industry?

Our mission is to organize exhibitions supported by the technology and sub factors, giving a shape, improving and smoothing the way for the sector by increasing the measured customer satisfaction every year, augmenting the market share in Turkey and balancing the domestic and international exhibitor’s rates. Our vision is to establish long-term business trade partnerships with Nigerian and contributing to already existing trade by expanding the export rates.

6.    In your opinion, what are the major challenges retailers and wholesalers face in Nigeria sourcing products?

Price; quality control are the factors wholesalers &retailers have to take into consideration while sourcing products.

7.    What positive developments have taken place in the Nigerian Retail sector over the past couple years?

Economical stability has allowed trade development and improval of service& good industry 

8.    What growth opportunities do you identify in the Nigerian retail market for foreign investors?

Access to raw materials; cheap labour; law domestic production rates are important elements of growth opportunities identified in Nigerian retail market for foreign investors.

9.    What are you and your Turkish exhibitors most looking forward to about at HD&G?

We are looking for meeting qualified VIP buyers; purchase managers; retailers; distributors; decision makers from the market.

10.    What will be your message at HD&G this year?

With best effort we can reach best outcomes& we hope to enhance our Turkish Pavilion by next year.
